Biographical Sketch:
Antonio Filippin is currently Associate Professor at the University of Milan, where he teaches a Master course in Decision Theory and Behavioral Economics and an undergraduate course in Microeconomics. He is also a Research Fellow of the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) and president of the scientific committee of the Southern European Experimentalist Team (SEET). His research interests cover several topics in the Experimental and Behavioral Economics literature having as a common denominator the empirical investigation of individual decision making. Most of his recent studies fall in the realm of the measurement of risk attitudes. Among his most relevant publications, one presents the Bomb Risk Elicitation Task (BRET), an innovative method devised to elicit individual risk tolerance. An article comparing several risk elicitation methods has been awarded the prize as best paper published in Experimental Economics in 2016. Finally, one of his contributions has provided a leap forward in the understanding of gender differences in risk attitudes.
