Chundrigar Road Monetary Policy Department, State Bank of Pakistan Karachi, Sindh Pakistan   hamza.malik@sbp.org.pk     Biographical Sketch: I am currently the Director of Monetary Policy Department at the central bank (State Bank of Pakistan (SBP)) of Pakistan. Before joining SBP, I was an Assistant Professor at Lakehead University, Canada. My primary research examines various aspects of the theory of monetary policy, with particular focus on alternative transmission mechanisms and targeting regimes. I was born in Lahore, Pakistan and did my B.Sc from Government College, Lahore, then attended Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad for my M.Sc in Economics and in 1997 moved to Canada and attended McMaster University for my PhD.
