Biographical Sketch:

Igor Evstigneev graduated from the Moscow State University (Mathematics) in 1971. He received his PhD in Mathematical Economics from the Academy of Sciences of Russia in 1974. He has worked mainly in those fields of Economic Theory that deal with dynamics and equilibrium under uncertainty. He published a monograph "Stochastic Models of Control and Economic Dynamics", Academic Press, London, 1987 (with V. Arkin) and more than 70 papers on various topics in Economics and Mathematics. He held visiting positions at the University of Bonn (two years from 1991 to 1993), State University of New York at Stony Brook, University of British Columbia, University of Zurich, University of Bergen (Norway) and others.

 
Primary Research Focus:

Economic dynamics and equilibrium with local interactions between agents, evolutionary finance, random dynamical systems.
