Biographical Sketch:

Paul Belleflamme studied at University of Namur (Belgium) for his graduate degree and PhD in Economics. He also has a Master of Arts in Economics from Columbia University. He joined the Department of Economics at Queen Mary, University of London in 1999, where he remained until August 2002. In September 2002, he moved to Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium), where he is affiliated to CORE for his research and to the School of Management (IAG) for his teaching. Paul works in the fields of industrial organisation and game theory. His research area is the economics of information technologies (IT), with an emphasis on two themes: the relationship between IT adoption and strategic interaction, and the formation of networks among firms. Current research concerns network formation between rival firms, product differentiation in successive vertical oligopolies, and the oligopolistic pricing of piratable information goods.
