He received PhD in Agricultural Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria in 2002. Over time, he has built impressive skills in Econometric modelling, Data Science, Machine Learning and computable general equilibrium using various software, particularly, R. He must credit an open-source Dyn4cast package in R which is adaptable to various machine learning applications. He has supervised and mentored over 100 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students during his career; many of them are currently employed by academic institutions, policy organisations, and businesses.
