Biographical Sketch:

Dr. Rupayan Pal is Associate Professor of Economics at Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai, India. His research covers issues like dynamics of competitive behaviour, privatization, network goods industries and firms' strategies, market structure and innovation, Strategic Trade Theory, environmental regulation, union-oligopoly bargaining, financial inclusion, and political economy of government size and its efficiency. He has published several research papers in renowned refereed journals including in Mathematical Social Sciences, Regional Science and Urban Economics, Journal of Public Economic Theory, International Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Economics, Resource and Energy Economics, Manchester School, Journal of Policy Modeling, Bulletin of Economic Research, Labor: Review of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations, Economics Bulletin, Developing Economies, Managerial and Decision Economics, and Research in Economics.
