Dr. Bhat holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Kashmir. Prior to Joining Sheikh-ul-Alam Memorial Degree College, Budgam in 2017 Dr. Bhat worked as Assistant Professor in Department of Economics, University of Kashmir, Srinagar. His research interest is Economics of Growth and Development. Currently Dr. Bhat is focusing on level and extent of Poverty and inequality among various disadvantaged groups (Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other backward classes) across India.
