''The credit and the exchanges: the contribution of P.J. Proudhon to the social currencies''
( 2012, Vol. 32 No.1 )

Even if the development of the systems of social currencies is important since the 1980s in the world, the majority of these alternative forms of exchanges has long historic lineage of experiences with monetary character considered as utopian andor socialist. Indeed, by using from the XIXth century a social currency (the credit with interest no.) as privileged instrument of social change, Proudhon seems to have posed the theoretical bases to explain the functioning of the current social currencies.
