Biographical Sketch:
Martin Ryan is a research assistant at the Geary Institute, where he works on a number of projects, most of which are related to higher education and graduate labour markets. He is currently due to submit a thesis for a research masters at DIT, in which he examined the micro-econometrics of participation in higher education.
He has secured funding from the Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences (IRCHSS) to begin a PhD thesis at the Geary Institute in Autumn 2007. In his research as a Government of Ireland Scholar he will investigate how individuals arrive at various outcomes throughout higher education.
He holds a degree in business studies from the Dublin Institute of Technology (2004), where he specialised in financial and monetary economics. This was followed by an internship in the economics department at AlB, and a post-graduate diploma in economic science from UCD (2005). |
