Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Rupayan Pal is an applied microeconomist. His theoretical research has dealt with issues including design of green payment mechanism, pricing of network goods, entry in two-sided markets, strategic delegation, innovation activities of firms, patents and remedial measures, privatization, environmental regulation, water allocation and disputes, union-oligopoly bargaining and inter-jurisdictional tax competition. He has also researched on some policy relevant empirical issues. International academic journals such as Journal of Economics & Management Strategy, Environmental and Resource Economics, Mathematical Social Sciences, Journal of Public Economic Theory, Regional Science & Urban Economics, Economics Letters, Journal of Institutional and Theoretical Economics, Scottish Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Policy Modeling, Resource & Energy Economics, International Journal of Economic Theory, and others have published his research papers. He is an enthusiastic teacher too. |
