Accommodations -- We encourage everyone to go ahead and make lodging arrangements as there are several local events that coincide with the dates of the conference.  Some hotels have already begun to sell out, so please book now!


The University of Washington newly built West Campus residence halls feature rooms with private restrooms, wireless Internet, and close proximity to the Henry Art Gallery and the Meany Hall for the Performing Arts. All rooms are furnished with twin-size beds, desks, nightstands, dressers, bedding, towels, a small fan, soap, toilet paper and drinking cups. West Campus also boasts our full-service restaurant (Cultivate) and campus grocery store (District Market). For off-campus activities, guests have easy access to The Ave, which hosts a number of restaurants, late-night activities and retail establishments.

Double package, $211.00/per person, includes three nights of housing (July 10, 11 & 12) and 3 breakfasts

Single package, $316/per person, includes three nights of housing (July 10, 11, 12) and 3 breakfasts

 Extra nights (July 9 and July 13) are available on a first-come/first-served basis.  Extra nights can only be added to an existing package, and the rates are $60 per person per night for double occupancy and $95.00 per person per night for single occupancy.  Please indicate your preference on your reservation and if available, your extra nights will be confirmed via email.

 Roommate matching  If you do not have a roommate but would like to share a double room, please indicate that during the reservation process and every effort will be made to assign you a same-gender roommate.  If no roommate is available, you will be given the option to upgrade to a single housing package.

 Refunds/Cancellations  Cancellation requests must be made in writing and must be received by June 10, 2014.  Cancellations result in a $50.00 handling fee, with the remaining balance available for refund.  No refund is available after June 10, 2014.

Welcome Reception:  Friday night, July 11, 18:30 - 20:30

Join your fellow APET attendees for a reception in the The Burke Museum, the premier museum of natural history and culture in the Pacific Northwest. Located on the UW campus, it is an easy walk to the Burke Museum located at the corner of NE 45th Street and 15th Avenue NE.  Plan to attend the opening reception for refreshments and light appetizers from 18:30 to 20:30 at the Burke Museum, and then enjoy the rest of the evening off in Seattle.

Experience Seattle's Real History
Experience the Northwest's tribal culture with our Tillicum Village Sightseeing Tour Cruise and Native American Salmon Bake and Performance. Cruise to historic Blake Island — legendary birthplace of Chief Seattle. On arrival you'll be greeted with steamed clams in savory nectar.
