Biographical Sketch:
Evens Salies
39 years old
French citizenship
Evens Salies has a doctorate in applied economics from the University of Perpignan (France) and a post-doctorate from the City University of London (UK). His research interests include econometrics and microeconomics applied to network industries. He has worked as research associate for an ESRC project on electricity market deregulation in Great Britain at the Centre for Competition Policy of East Anglia University (UK). He provided advices as consultant for Energywatch, the independent gas and electricity watchdog in the UK. Before joining the OFCE, Evens Salies was research assistant at the Groupe Réseaux Jean Monnet from the University of Paris-Sud XI (France). At OFCE, Evens Salies deals with economic issues related to innovation by electric utilities, the role of consumers' switching costs on the degree of competitiveness in deregulated network industries. He also conducts researches on the impediments to consumer energy saving. |
